The EEG announces a rotation in its Co-Chair position, with Anouk Moser taking up the role.
Anouk is a Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor at Lumos, where she leads EU advocacy and the organisation’s work to advance the rights of children with disabilities.
On behalf of Lumos, Anouk Moser stated:
“I am delighted to be stepping into the Co-Chair role at a critical moment as the EU sets its future funding frameworks and policy priorities, which will shape how care systems are reformed across Europe. At Lumos, we work to end the institutionalisation of children and ensure they can grow up in safe, loving families within supported communities, because this is what children need to thrive. Through our work with governments and partners, we support the transformation of care systems and the strengthening of services that prevent family separation and support families. As a founding member of the EEG, we look forward to working with partners to ensure EU funding, law, and policy drive this transition in line with children’s rights.”
The EEG looks forward to working with Anouk in her new role, as the Group continues its advocacy for the transition away from institutional care, increased investment in family-based care, and the development of inclusive, community-based support systems grounded in human rights.
The EEG would also like to express its sincere thanks to Freek Spinnewijn and FEANTSA for their leadership over the past year. The Group is grateful for Freek’s contribution to the EEG’s work, his professionalism, openness, and his continued support for collaboration and new initiatives.
